Author Fees and Business Model
The Andalasian International Journal of Agricultural and Natural Sciences (AIJANS) is committed to providing open access to high-quality research while maintaining a sustainable publishing model. An Article Processing Charge (APC) is applied to manuscripts accepted for publication to support the journal's operational costs.
Article Processing Charge (APC)
- APC Amount: The APC for publishing in AIJANS is 500,000 IDR.
- This fee is charged only after a peer-reviewed manuscript is accepted for publication. The APC covers the costs of manuscript processing, typesetting, and long-term archiving to ensure the continued availability of published content.
Waiver Policy
AIJANS recognizes that not all authors may have the financial resources to cover the APC. As part of our commitment to supporting equitable access to publication, we offer a waiver program for authors who require financial assistance.
- Eligibility: Authors from low-income countries or those facing financial hardship may request a waiver during submission. Waivers are granted on a case-by-case basis and are assessed based on the author’s circumstances.
- How to Apply: Authors seeking a waiver should contact the editorial office with a request and a brief explanation of their situation. Waivers will not influence the editorial decision-making process, and all manuscripts are evaluated based on their scholarly merit.
Business Model
AIJANS is funded through the APC and institutional support from Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian Masyarakat (LPPM) at Universitas Andalas. The journal does not rely on advertising or external sponsorships, ensuring that editorial decisions are made solely based on the academic quality of the research.
AIJANS operates under an open-access model, meaning that all content is freely accessible to readers at no cost. This ensures that research published in the journal reaches a global audience and contributes to the advancement of science without financial barriers.
